The Volcanic Heartland: Our Story Through Public Art

The Volcanic Heartland will take you on a journey through our past, following in the footsteps of Ngatoroirangi, Tamatekapua, of Ihenga and Tia, and the regions many settlers from around the world since.

The Volcanic Heartland was aproject run in conjunction with Taupo District Council which supported the development of a number of public art works in the Rotorua and Taupo districts as well as the production of this booklet offering some insight into our arts and cultural heritage, public arts and art galleries and studios.

The Volcanic Heartland: Our Story Through Public Art is now available in Rotorua from the Museum, Information Centre and City Focus. Copies cost $5.00 NZ including gst.
