About Origami
Origami is the art of folding paper in to any shape possible without cutting or gluing. The name is Japanese, as are the origins of this medium, though it is widely practiced around the world. Often thought of as a children’s recreational past time it has in recent decades developed into a mature fine art form with exhibitions at major art establishments around the world. Director Jonathan Baxter has practiced the art of origami for more than 25 years and is recognized for his achievements among the international origami community. He now travels extensively throughout New Zealand teaching, demonstrating and exhibiting the art form.
